That year in 2020, when the world wide Covid pandemy started, we had never seen so many poppies in our fields in Belgium since Word War 1. The red poppy is a symbol for the fallen soldiers during WW 1. It felt strange to see them in thousands during that weird period. Beauty and tragedy.
