That year, in 2020, after the start of the world wide Covid pandemy, we have never seen so much poppies in our fields in Belgium since Word War 1. The red poppy is a symbol for the fallen soldiers during World war 1. It felt strange to me to see them in thousands during that weird period. Beauty and tragedy.
